The Healing Well was a site-specific installation created by the Self-Healing and Social Justice Art Collective and displayed in the lobby of the School of Social Work (SSW). The Well was positioned in a square space created by four columns. The Well itself will sit on the floor, surrounded by sand-colored fabric and pillows. Around the ceiling, blue and green garlands of tulle and strips of iridescent fabric will evoke water running through the well. Visitors were encouraged to place in the Well small objects of their choosing, and healing written notes, that serve as symbols of their own healing journeys. The exchange of healing objects and notes created a community connected in the pursuit of radical healing.
