Our strategy

Collaboratory members (staff, faculty, post-docs, students) will: (1) develop theory to ground arts-based research; (2) pursue arts-based methods to advance social justice and anti-racism; (3) develop interventions to advance social justice and anti-racism at individual, , institutional, and structural levels; and (4) engage with social work professionals and artists in the community at large.

Our Purpose

The Collaboratory will employ an intersectional perspective to develop arts-based theories and interventions to address racism and other forms of prejudice: colorism, homophobia, ageism, etc. The Collaboratory will support  collaborators in conducting art-based research and art practices in order to help them become change agents.
